Update at the Exchange - Service worse !

      Hi All,

After the usual few weeks of frustration, I was on a very stable connection, did all the Router tweeks, and other suggestions on here, like removing the front panel of the master socket. Great ! - upto 6.5 meg and super reliable.

Then I noticed on one of the exchange data sites (can't find the link) my exchange was due for an upgrade on the 19th.

I eagerly awaited Thursday just gone, expecting a little bit more speed - perhaps nearer the 8 meg the exchange can currently handle. (Only 1.2K away) Now, my service is back to instability and cuts out every 5 minutes or so.

Do I have to do the Router re-boot routine for another 10 days or so to gain stablity or is there something else to try?

Just downloaded the Router monitoring programme, so will see if it is relative or more linked to a problem at the exchange.

      Thanks.

      Hello ellies14me
i believe the link you are on about is this one http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
LLU is rate adaptive so does not have a training period like the old BT IPstream max connections, i think the instability is a bit more wide spreed as i to have been having connection issues since Friday where as before i had rock solid speed and connection, we will just have to see if it improves over the next week if not ill be on the phone as well lol

Is the information on that site relevant to Sky BB, or is it just for BT IPStream customers.

Our local service is up and down and a tad sticky on pages, our local exchanges is pasted below, I guess that is is affecting our ASDL max service via sky?
