      Wireless Bridge / WDS Hell...

      Hey guys....

      So.. In our house is the SR-101 hub (downstairs) and though the WiFi reception is fairly decent upstairs, my main computer does not have a wireless adapter so it's at a dead end.

      Since I would *rather* not spend any money on a WiFi extender, and since those powerline adapters simply cannot get around the awful wiring in our house, i'm looking to use what I already have to get ethernet-available internet upstairs.

      Easy in theory, but since the SR-101 does not allow WDS (WHY??!?!??!?!?!?!) there's a lot of... "fudging" to be done.

      Equipment I have:
      - Netgear DG834GT with v1.03.22 - DGTeam Rev. 1018 firmware
      - D-LINK DIR-615 with DD-WRT firmware installed

      I've come up with a potential solution of:

      (upstairs) DG834GT ~~Wireless~~ (downstairs) DIR-615 ==Wired== SR-101 -> Internet

      But haven't a blind clue how to do this.... Any help please??? (or alternatively a good place to buy a hammer for the SR-101...)

      Thanks!

      Re: Wireless Bridge / WDS Hell...

      Sounds like an awful lot of farting about for something that could be overcome with a 5-10 USB wifi adapter.

      Would it not be a lot simpler to just set up one router as a wireless bridge rather than using WDS?
