That's right. Scubbie posted an article from Thinkbroadband, Reminder about the reality of DLM on Openreach FTTC, that states the line starts of as 'open'

Aye, don't touch the BTO Modem but if there is not difference showing on the router, please feel free to power cycle it once each morning.

Well 12meg is better than I had before. I swapped out the sr101 for my AEBS anyway, and the second sr101 has just been delivered lol

Interestingly, I'm getting about 11.8meg over wireless, but my pc which is connected via home plug only gets 8meg via home plug which goes to 12meg direct via Ethernet. I'm gonna buy a new wireless n adaptor I think

Well I don't really need home plugs, I just had some knocking about, for the expense I'll just get a wireless n adaptor.

If I said I wasn't a bit dissapointed with my sync speed I'd be lying. I thought sky's estimate would be a conservative one, but I'm not even hitting that. Oh well

You should call Sky and tell them you are not happy with the speed as it is below the estimate you were given. You will probably be told to wait 10 days till DLM completes, which is just a fob off. There may be a fault on the line which an engineer visit could find and fix.

True, well I might be best to wait the 10 days before calling them.

      I'll keep you posted

Re: Well done Sky! Happy customer!!

Have power cycled my AEBS a few times over the last few days and no difference. Obviously I have not touched the huawei modem, but would it be of any benefit to hack it in order to check the line stats etc? Obviously this means powering it down and I don't want to risk enticing a smack down from the BT DLM

Aso, this is in the wrong section, prob would be best in the fibre section?

      cheers

      Andy
