Good to know. Will it be a straight forward plug in and it'll just work or will I need to change any settings?

As long as the router has been left on Auto and is not banned, it should be plug n' play. If the WAN setting has been set to WANOE only you will have to change it to Auto or ADSL only.

Re: Sky Hub synced with SNR of 3.0

Received my Sky Hub SR101-Z brought off eBay today. Did a factory reset then connected it up. It'll be interesting to see how soon it starts to resync to faster speeds, if at all. My SNR is currently at 7.1dB with a sync speed of 16057kbps.

Re: Sky Hub synced with SNR of 3.0

Well I've had the router for 5 days now and still no change to my sync speed, do you think there's anything I could do to make it start syncing with a lower SNR?

Sky Hub synced with SNR of 3.0-router-stats-27-05-13.jpg

There's a slight increase from the sync I reported last week as I lost 200kbps when connecting the new router and it came back up that night.

I think you've got a decent set of stats there for your attenuation. DLM could push the noise margin down towards 3db, but only if the line is very quiet.

I know they're pretty good. Just hoping for more with the new router.

Re: Sky Hub synced with SNR of 3.0

The new DLM software is able to push the connection speeds better than ever before provided that you use a suitable router.

It does still require a good telephone line though in order to get the best possible connection speed. Other things that can improve your connection speeds are the use of a filtered faceplate, ensure that you use the supplied ADSL lead, avoid BTO Junction boxes and place the router clear of potential electronic interference (i.e. DECT phones, microwave oven, TVs, phone chargers).
