There is a good chance that this has been raised on the Official Sky forum, but unfortunately users exchanges are not shown and the coordinators never seem to ask what exchange a complainer is on. Maybe deliberate so that no one can see a trend.

It might be worth posting over there and specifically mention your exchange, maybe by heading your post 'Problems on Elmswell Exchange. You might not get any help, but it may draw out other users in your exchange.

I've just had the engineer around and he agrees the problem is most likely at the exchange.

He's off there as we speak doing whatever it is BB engineers do. He also said he may be allowed to fix it today (hopefully!) or he can at least find the problem and tell Sky to get it sorted.
We'll see what he comes back with, but at least progress is being made. Certainly he wasn't sitting here scratching his head and sucking through his teeth, but seemed fairly confident.

That's the idea, the only thing is you have posted it in the Talk section instead of the Broadband section.

Maybe one of the CCs over there will realize and move it to the correct section.

Just got a call from him.
He's tried to call Sky, no answer, so he can't do anything today.
However he has passed on his findings (i.e your exchange equipment is borked) to them and hopefully they will now acknowledge there is an issue and will get it sorted.

Obviously he can't give a specific time frame as it's no longer anything to do with them, but the phrase 'maybe 10 days, maybe a week' was uttered. Not good.
That means it'll have been two weeks on the fritz - a poor showing from Sky. Though having said that, when BT upgraded the exchange here for their customers they didn't have BB AT ALL, for fours weeks! eek!

Meh, typical. Two weeks thou!!!! not acceptable. I guess ill have to wait for my phonecall (which should be in the next 50mins) with that information ill pass back douglas and we shall see what happens.

Annoying that the guy was willing to fix it, but Sky wouldnt answer!! ill make sure i point out to sky that this issue could of been resolved today but they didnt.

Re: Very slow dial-up style speeds on 18MB synch

      Hey there guys.

Wish I found this 2 days ago. My internet went to snail pace Tuesday morning (overnight Monday to Tuesday). I've been on to sky 3 times now going through the 'usual checks'.

As you can see I am also on the Elmswell exchange.

I'll keep following and post if I hear anything from sky.

      J
