      Cannot Use Ethernet Connection

I have wireless connection on my laptop, but I can't seem to revert it back to Ethernet cable, even when I plug in the Ethernet cable and turn wireless off, it is not picking up the broadband.

I tried using the Wan Miniport PPOE but got Error 651

      Can anyone help please. Thanks!

Does the LED on your network port illuminates when you plug in the ethernet cable? Is your ethernet adapter being assigned an IP address? Check in network properties or run ipconfig from a command prompt.

      Re: Cannot Use Ethernet Connection

Have a look in the Device Manager, is your LAN adapter listed under Network Adapters? If it is not, check in the BIOS that the LAN adapter is enabled there. If it is listed in the Device Manager, are there any marks next to it indicating it is not working? It may need drivers or simply reinstalled.
