can I use my Sky box after my contract has ended?

My contract ends soon and I am wondering whether I can use the skybox to view, record, playback and pause Freeview TV channels after my contract is finished and I don't renew. Wouldn't want Sky channels.
      Thanks

You'll still be able to watch the 'free to view' channels (essentially freesat with a couple of omissions).

You won't be able to use the '+' features though, such as record, playback etc.

edit: You can enable just the '+' features with a 'sky + subscription' & nothing else.
      I think it's 10 per month though.

Since Freesat and Sky use the same satellites, you may wish to consider purchasing a Freesat+ or Freesat+ HD STB.

All you would need to do is to swap the LNB feeds from the Sky STB to the new one and the set up your new STB in the normal manner.
