exchange not enabled for Be yet madman.......think thats due early next year.

With regard to the speeds I mentioned in my previous message, I don't actually have any internet access at all & so these speeds are purely what the router is detecting on the line I suppose.

I got in touch with my old provider a while ago, who told me I had been disconnected from them. My old provider was just a re-seller of BT's IPStream as most are.

It's getting hard to tell whether Sky are lying to us or whether someone is lying to sky.
Guys, I'm in almost exactly the same situation - should have been connected on the 4th Oct, but nada so far.

All the lights on the sky router are 'green for go', and the modem is synching to 'something' at the exchange, at similar upload & download speeds to my previous connection.

I've called Sky (freephone ) more times than you can shake a big stick at, and a month later there's still nothing doing. Got all the usual excuses (Tie Pairs, etc), but even after these issues are apparently resolved, nothing has changed. I think that whenever TS transfer me to the 'Provisioning' dept, they accidentally transfer me to the 'Sarcasm and that's about it' dept., which doesn't really help...

      Hiya Mack

have tried to speak to the TS department this afternoon but keep getting the Phillipines who to be fair are next to useless.

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that the problem is being caused by Sky not cancelling my previous broadband service & therefore there is still a tag on my line.

Tried the number above for BTW but it doesn't work.

Right, so I just spoke with Demon again who apologised profusely & said that they would speak with the relevant people to get the tag taken off of my line.

Hopefully this, if not solving the problem totally, will remove any doubt that it could be causing a conflict.

So here's a lesson for anyone migrating from a BTW Broadband re-seller. DO NOT expect Sky to cancel your existing provider. The IPSTREAM Cease DOES NOT cancel your existing broadband & you will still be billed for a service that you cannot receive.

      Too right they do.....

Especially when you are a customer with Sky+ & multiroom, all available channels & now Sky BB......

Thats around 60 per month (without a discount for Sky+ box problems which I solved by fitting a new hard drive)

720 per year they cannot afford to lose
