      Re: My Experience. - even worse

      Same here Adder. Waiting since August.

      I started the TIE PAir thread long ago (Tie Pair Jobs Anyone?). I guess we should all bundle Tie Pairs under this single thread. Newsreader mentioned something about it to. Its the most common foboff SKy have learned to dish out. No onehas clue about it though. If you read my threads, will give you an idea.

      You are also right. BT are twiddling their thumbs without any further orders/instructions from SKY.

      Beyond pathetic now. Tmrw my dealine, else I am off incl. 15 yrs of skt tv!

      Re: My Experience.

      Today could be interesting. BT are due to undo the LLU on my line. However they never did the LLU in the first place.

      Quite how this will affect the outcome I don't know but being as everything else has gone wrong, I expect that my fight to restore some kind of broadband will continue for a while yet.

      @Hoagie

      I forgot that today was the day for you to be disconnected. What are the chances of you getting home & finding out that in the process of "disconnecting" you from Sky you've actually been "connected"

      That would be just about par for the course, mind you the up side for you could be that Sky would then argue that you arn't connected to their service & you get free broadband forever

      Can't see it but you never know with Sky

      Re: My Experience.

      Well, I hope this isn't another false dawn.......BUT.........I had a call this morning saying that the tie pair work is scheduled for completion on 11th Jan & to make sure that the router is connected so that they can test the line when the work is done

      I'm not holding my breath BUT I've got everthing crossed.

      Re: My Experience.

      If that's true holding out would have been better for me after all. I'm likely to be connected on the 15th.

      The Cease seemed to work - My i light on the router has finally gone out.

      Re: My Experience.

      @Adder

      Call was from Easynet mate (well it was an 0207 phone number) AKA Tier 3.

      Curiously, I expected something to happen around the time that Hoagie was disconnected, simply for the reason that they would look to save costs by doing more than 1 job during the works.

      I think this is why most of us have / are suffered long delays. i.e. why rectify one persons fault when you can hang on & maybe connect / disconnect 60 others at the same time

      I'm sat at my PC watching & waiting for the openreach van to pull up at the exchange........OK so it's only 01:37 & I'm obsessed

      I think I'll probably cry if it doesn't happen today
