Sky Broadband - Potential New User.

      Hi Guys,

Some really dumb ass questions I'm afraid.

The Broadband router that you get when signing up to Sky Broadband - is it a Netgear DG834GT "of sorts"... Could anyone recommend a descent wireless PCI card - If the above is a netgear, I'm thinking of getting a Netgear card, if for no other reason than they would both be Netgear "obvious"...

Also - I currently have NTL broadband but will obviously be getting a BT line installed to take up the Sky broadband offer. Is there anyway I can check if the Sky BB service will be available on my line as Sky can't tell me as I don't yet have the BT line. The exchange I'm connected to is Ibstock / Leicestershire...

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

      Cheers...

      Hi,

Again - apologies for the dumb ass questions.

How do you know I'm unable to receive sky broadband - I've checked the URL to samknows and I'm unsure what denotes that I may or may not be able to receive it.

I guess the same question regarding Get Connect.

      Cheers...

      Hi ellie

Your exchange is not LLU enabled however it is
      ADSL Max status: Enabled (Green)
Which is what CONNECT (which is Sky BB) is based on

      Hope that helps
