      PPoa

I used to have Sky broadband Unlimited but now have Sky Fibre Unlimited. Both of my services ran/run on the MER protocol. I noticed when I logged into my mums router who has Sky Unlimited Broadband on the same exchange as me it runs PPoa. Is this right?

Not 100% sure, but think all fibre is MER, adsl seems to run either

Sky runs a mixture of PPPoA and MER. They've been switching people back to the former it seems possibly as a result of freeing up MER for fibre connections.

      Re: PPoa

You Cannot Run PPPoA on the openreach FTTC network with the current setup.

Even the ISP's that use PPP for FTTC connections are using PPPoE
