The people in the Call Centres will not have access to that information or be able to ensure that you personally are placed on it.

They may be able to forward your details if there is a link in the update for them, but I don't know how their bulletins are presented.

Should you wind your router's firmware back for yourself, then at a later date, when a working firmware is available, it will be automatically loaded once more on your router.

Is there any update on this? I'm on the v6 FW and still experiencing many dropouts.

Nothing other than they are working on it.

The best solution at present is to roll back to an earlier version. Since Sky has halted the roll out, there is no chance of you getting the faulty update again (unless you use mrmt32's site to get it).

Did netgear's get this 6.uni thing as well?
I thought it was just 2504n's.

Sky should have rolled back the firmware to the previous version if you were on the "affected list". I'm not sure of the criteria for this, but you could give them a call and go through your issue.

Re: Firmware 6.14.2a4N_UNI causing ADSL drop outs?

      Hi all
Was on old grey 2504 router and running at 3.5mbps when Sky said I should be getting 6mbps.
Sky engineer came and fixed with new i-plate master socket. This fixed speed now at 13mbps.
After 1 week fitted new 2504N v6 (purchased from ex sky user) and now wireless is very solid but line drops 2 or 3 times an hour.
Firmware version is as discussed here. 6.14.2a4N_UNI. Need to check the old router but suspect this updated with the new dodgy firmware after the engineer visited and restarted old router.
Emailed Sky yesterday telling them about this issue and the apparent dodgy firmware. Their response was
I can advise the issue you are describing, does not really sound to me like a firmware issue. A firmware issue would usually stop all access to the internet completely.” Bit shocking
I have pointed them to this forum but I really don’t want to spend an hour on the phone on Saturday morning if this is their issue.

…and how confident are we that it is the firmware?
Tried to roll back with reset tool but will not work so stuck with a pants connection for now!

Re: Firmware 6.14.2a4N_UNI causing ADSL drop outs?

      Hi there.

Just like to add I also have had my router dropping out on the said firmware. It's been going on now for the last few weeks. Around 6 in the evening and after midnight. Normally not on my Xbox when it happens but when it does, very annoying. I've either been watching Netflix or gaming on multiplayer and losing xp

What's my best option? How do I install an earlier firmware?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
