      freezing

My son has just move house, and sky have installed his tv, broadband and phone, the trouble is that his laptop keeps freezing when connected to the internet.
I brought his laptop home with me and connected it to the internet through my network, and it worked ok, never froze once after using it for a whole day, so does it look like its his sky connection?
does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed or will he have to get sky to fix it!
      He is running window's 7.

I think you have to define 'freezing'. Is everything working except the Internet, is the browser 'freezing', or is everything locking up?

I mean nothing works, either freezing or locking up, the only thing that can be done is press the off button, then when it is started up again, it says that it has not been closed down properly, but thats the only thing I can do

      Re: freezing

That sounds more like a Windows fault than anything to do with Sky Broadband. Have you tried returning it to your sons and trying again to see if moving the laptop has solved the problem?
