Re: Anyone Else Changed To PPPoA

Sky has been switching various ADSL connections back to PPPoA, instead of MER.

Others can use either MER or PPPoA, whilst a few a locked in to MER.

We don't know why this is happening, but it is really helpful for those who want to use their own routers.

Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      No problem.

My own connection is on PPPoA, which is great for me. Currently there is only Billion who have compiled a firmware for use with Sky's MER connections. Everyone else needs to use PPPoA.
