    Intermittent connection

      Just logged onto my account and found out DLM has been active since 10/01/2013 but my problems began on 08/01/2013. I do have random hissing and crackling on the phone line, can that be due to DLM?

      I had a solid connection before this.

      no dlm will start due to any noise/interference being picked up on your line

      i have had the same problem and sky has almost doubled the noise margin which has halved the internet connection speed to fix the problem.

      Presuming the noise is still present with the handset directly at the test socket with no other equipment, then ring Sky. Make it clear that you are calling about the audible noise. The broadband connection will be sorted once that's fixed.
