    No Internet Light

    This is a discussion on No Internet Light within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; yup did this last night and this morning - no issues reported...

      With your other thread it looks like it may be a router firmware issue.

      Cancel that, you have the older firmware,

      just been on twitter with the sky help team
      Again confirmed no issues with exchange, filter changed, I can make phone calls, and I've tested in master/test socket

      They say they're gonna get the team to have a look and DM me

      I miss the Internet
      3G is so sloooooow

      Did they give you an estimate for how long it will be before you get a call back?

      Normally they will say 72 hours at the moment.

      In this case, call Sky back after 24 hours have passed.

      P.S. Always make a note of whom you are speaking with at Sky. They like to send out customer surveys which are used for performance reviews. It helps to know specifically who you spoke with so that you can give suitable praise or criticism.

      Ok, so I called Sky (impatient - didn't wait for solutions to call me back!)....
      Basically, the girl told me that they won't replace my router for nothing despite the fact that it probably is the router and I have to use a Sky router. She said that she could order me a router but I'd have to pay for it.

      I said I might as well wait to see what Solutions say....

      She said that if solutions deemed it to be a router issue then they'd still charge me as well...great. Over a barrel!

      Think I'll just order it.

      Oh, and I did kind of say that I could just cancel and go somewhere else where I'd get a free router and even free months blah blah blah.....yeah, that didn't sway her
