Line testing has begun again over 2 years since it had previously finished, why is this?

This is a discussion on Line testing has begun again over 2 years since it had previously finished, why is this? within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I think it may be due to the transmit power being reduced, as I suggested in post#62....

Just noticed that my router rebooted in the earlier hours. Previous to this my Network Type was MER, but now this has changed to PPPoA.

      Not sure why this is?

This behaviour has been noticed by quite a few members in the last year or so.

What is also possible is that you may be able to use a router with the O2 log in process.
