It is not unusual for the actual line length to be considerably longer. If you are able to work out the actual router, use the measuring tool in Google Earth to calculate what it actually is.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Moving to Sky from O2

Just an update. I checked the router stats on Friday during in coming call, outgoing call and quiet line test. There was no significant difference noted.

The router has not reset as part of DLM for about 85 hrs, but we did have a mini power break over the weekend and it resynced at 4meg down 0.7meg up.

I guess DLM has finished and I guess this is my lot. I'm ok with it, getting over 3meg all over the house thanks to the far superior sr101. I actually think this is enough for what we use the net for.

Moving to fibre would get me about 15down for an extra tenner a month and a fifty quid connection fee (I think), and I don't think I can justify the outlay.

      Cheers

      Andy
