      I think your exchange is suffering from the output problem being experienced by many other exchanges at peak times. Sky are updating the effected exchanges by installing a larger 'pipe' out of the exchange on to the main network. Keep complaining to Sky and your exchange will eventually be added to the list. The first line support do not understand this issue, or have been instructed to deny it.

      Just got in at 6pm (8th November) and my download speed is 2.9Mbs. A big difference from 20Mbs this morning.

      I also emailed SKY complaining. I will give it a couple of days and if it continues like this I will be calling SKY and complaining.

      I have also done a tracert to www.bbc.co.uk to check the speed. The first hop is to the router which took < 1 ms, the other hops all had 20ms or more, with the last one to www.bbc.co.uk being 30ms.

      As I suspected this morning, at 4pm the speed died. I am now about 1meg. You can almost set your watch by it.
      Am trying to phone Sky again.

      Update.
      Have spoken to sky again, told them of others having same problem. They are putting the problem out to the network people to investigate further
      can take 3 days, then supposed to let me know. See what happens.

      I am living in Twydall, and am getting appalling speeds since Monday. I am on the Rainham Exchange. I was getting a steady for 6.2 MEG but now varies between 0.5- 1MEG every evening. Have reported it to Sky and it is to be escalated upwards to their 2nd tier team, so am expecting a call back in 72 hours.

      Have also put it on their facebook page, and there are reports on their Sky help forum page

      If I get no joy an email will be getting send to Jeremy Darroch's email address. That normally speeds things up!

      Would suggest the following 2 email addresses. These have worked for me in the past when I have had problems in the past. Very quick response.

      The Jeremy Darroch one normally works well. I will email them tomorrow if they do not progress this further.

      just got down to 0.7Mbs 22:30. I cannot remember the last time I connected to the internet at that speed. Fingers crossed they sort it out soon.
