This is a good point, my sweet spot while download for is 18 on the upload, then once downloaded I let it seed at full bandwidth over night

There is an extension telephone cable to the router
That is never a good idea. Unless it is a properly made twisted pair cable you will have problems. An ordinary flat phone extension will pick up interference, putting down the speed or even knocking the connection off completely.

If you can't place the router close to the master socket then get a properly made extension. Runitdirect will make one up for a few pounds, or you can get it off the shelf if the length suits - NTE2000 ADSL Extension Kit, 10M

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.

About the only thing questionable there is your upload, it is a bit low for your download sync.

Are these taken from the Master/Test socket or with the phone extension?
