Slow speed - less go than a constipated snail !

I have been a user for over 4 years but am plagued by VERY slow speeds. I have now reported this 4 times during that period. Filters have been swapped/replaced and a line test shows OK. After each complaint the download speed creeps to the dizzy heights of nearly 2mps, ( I did manage 3.2 once, but read on). All to soon, usually after a week or 10 days, speed starts diminishing and the connection fails from time to time. I am now back to approx 0.75 tonight after having had to reset the router.

Speed i.o gives some results which mean little to me, but appear to reflect the same results , but reporting download;upload and ping as excellent!

Has anybody else suffered the same? Is there anywhere that usage stats can be obtained so that ii can see which BT package is best?
I believe there is a method of obtaining full stats before i take this further?

      Hi,

Can you post your router stats? Also, are you using the master socket or an extension? Have you tried plugging the router in to the test socket behind the master?

Also as a quick note, there are 3 telephone exchanges in Chester. Each has Sky's LLU kit installed and each is Fibre enabled. If you have a long line, you may want to consider looking at the possibility of getting Sky Fibre.

In your previous post on your speed you were advised to call Sky and also take your stats in the Test socket to check for internal problems, unfortunately you failed to respond. Very Poor Speeds

Maybe if you had your problem would have been solved.
