      Slow and unreliable

      My fixed line connection:

It also has lots of issues where it drops to 1meg or just cuts out.

Now here is me connected from my PC to my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 2) via Wifi, then my phone to a 3G network (phone is inside of a house too)

What a joke. I might just use my 3G all the time instead, i'm on the one plan with unlimited data and it's the only plan you're allowed to tether with.

      ---
Thinking of dropping my sky line, can't get above 5meg, as above... the network keeps slowing down (to 1meg or lower) and cutting out randomly. I thought spending 40 on the new hub would help solve issues, the old one was getting worse for wear... made no difference.

Currently on my Three 3G internet as it's double the speed and never drops, now 3G pings have come sub <80, I can game with it too... adding in the fact my three contract is 32 with 2k mins, 5k texts and unlimited internet... I don't see a future with sky, I feel so alienated from all these fibre users... I merely want to stream 720p youtube videos on lecturers so I can learn without interruption at night, sky hub says no no.

      Am I missing something here?

      Re: Slow and unreliable

ok if you keep watch on noise margin on both up/downstream if you see movement up and down en that will show the interference , if that is case look for main socket and if you have test socket connect router to this , if margin stay stable and go up then well get higher speed and stable connection ,after you do this but still speeds changing check for wireless or ethernet connection
run speed test from both connections
