I'm gonna try and find out what speeds the neighbours are getting with their providers.

Re: Is my broadband finding its true speed or just all over the place.

Another problem I have is periodically I cant connect to any internet sites, or if I manage to then actually loading pages is painfully slow.
I notice that on the router all lights are green but flickering. The router doesnt feel excessivly warm and is well ventelated.

Its not just my PC but all devices in the house cant connect, even though they are showing good signal strength.
But I can still see router stats on my PC. They kept refreshing every 10 seconds as usuall.

The only way Ive found to solve this, is by turning my router off then on again, once this is done then I get back on line.

After I had to reset the router this morning, though I thought my line wasnt been monitored for DLM, the speed dropped.

      Well a little update.

After a few calls it looks like they have fanally set DLM going or so it says in My Sky. My Broadband

"Testing on your broadband connection began on 12/11/2012 and will be completed within 10 days."

Now that sounds like a step in the right direction but I now have my lowest Download speed, its shockingly bad! and it doesnt look like they are resetting the WAN regularly . Is this right?

Are you using the VDSL faceplate? If you are try plugging into the Test socket again and see if the noise margin improves. You seem to have lost a lot since you first fitted the plate.

If I do that couldnt it be detramental to the DLM im supposed to be getting.

My noise margin has always been around the 7 down and 12 up, apart from the day I fit the new face plate. If you notice all 3 reading that day (Old face plate/ test socket/new face plate) noise margins were pretty much the same

I don't think one or two disconnections will effect DLM badly. Your connection seems to have gone down hill since that day, which is why I suggest trying the Test socket again to see if there is any difference.
