No Internet At All
I have had sky bb for a few weeks now, and it all seemed to work fine. it was a bit slow and the speed tests suggested i was never near the full 16 meg that i pay for, but it worked so i didnt complain.
For some reason i have lost all ability to connect to the internet and have been offline for 4 days now. i have spent about 2 hours with tier 1 and 2 going through various tests and am now waiting for a call back from tier 3 but im sure that is going to take forever.
has anyone else had this kind of problem that may be able to help me??
all the lights on the box are on but i just cant get to a web page.

I personally would get back on the phone and insist on holding for tier three it is unacceptable that they leave you with no internet, waiting for a call back, do you know if there is an exchange problem?

Dont think there is, said everything was fine in the area.
Will listen to your advice and be on the phone tonight, does the 0800 number get through to the 3rd tier or will i have to spend another fortune to try and get the internet back up?

My LLU based Max connection has just died this morning - no sync on Sky router and my other router.
Tech support say it can take up to 5 days to do the tests / sort out. I'm less than happy with that expectation of fault resolution / timescale !

The unofficial advice we have been given is that if you dial any number other than the 0870 one the one that ends in 515, you are more likely to get put through to the foriegn overflow call centre.

Seems like Sky will be making a fortune out of their 0870 scam number.

I'm just off the phone with tier1, as my connection is really slow and quite unstable.
The nice sounding irish girl told me that the sky connect service is going under maintenance to solve website connection problems, and other problems, told me all works should be finished tomorrow and back to normal.

I managed to get through to tier 3 last night after about 25 mins. thought we may finally be able to sort this out, only to be told that they are only allowed to respond to call backs now and that they would be in touch within 5 days. Didnt matter that i was actually ready, i had to wait to be called. The chance of me being at home in front of the computer and sky calling is slim to none, a point i made quite clear.
This is just ridiculous and sky should be ashamed!!
Luckily for me my internet came back on last night and was still on this morning before i left. Looks like the connection is only 2 megs but its better than nothing. fingers crossed that it lasts!!
