      Re: Urgent Broadband Help Needed

after a strongly worded email I have received this response

As we didn't install the internal wiring or BT faceplate. We feel as it isn't our fault. As has you know we have other sites that are working ok.
But we will sort for you. As we like to keep our customers happy.

When your face plate arrives let us know and I will call in to sort poss tonight or thurs.

See how you get on then.

It is possible it is the internal wiring causing the hassle, (and not their fault I guess) as if they connected it and then you had problems, then logic says, either the extension or their connection to your faceplate has caused the issues.

Hopefully that is the end of it now. The way to check to see if sorted, check the speed / stats from the test socket, then test again after they have done the work in the normal socket, this should then give you the same figures.

Taking the pictures will help us identify what he is going to fix possibly. Not that you need to now if they are sorting it out.

But like I said, the wiring upstairs could have caused the issues if the wiring was badly done prior to him connecting stuff up etc - By not having the connection prior, thats maybe why everything worked before.

If the downstairs wasn't connected previously, then that would explain what I mean. By connecting the downstairs up, he may have then inadvertently connected the bad wiring into the equation. Thus causing the issues.
