Sky moved me to their network and Internet not as good.
Hi there,
I have been on unlimited ADSL Sky since Feb and its been great, on or around the 16th I was moved from BT hardware to Skys hardware (or something along those lines) which was apparently going to be better for me but no have lower downloads by 3Mb (only had just over 12.5 to start with), a lower upload, though Skys upload is generally poor going from 0.8 down to 0.6 is not great and the latency has increased.
Is this normal, I was told that the switch should be beneficial to me and not to be concerned, clearly it is not, any reason there should be such a difference, the cables should be the same right and you'd have thought the hardware thats been put in should be newer and therefore better?
any tips on what I can do, does it need to train a new line?
Cheers

DLM will still be running, it should get better than that.

No change so far, I did call them up to see if it could be rectified and they upped the speed but this has come straight back to the figures above.
Its annoying as the internet was working well on BT gear, now I have lower download, lower upload and higher latency perhaps I need to get back on a BT line to get the best performance out of what is available.
It's not like its terrible now but when you know it can be better you want the best performance, we have tablets/laptops using cloud services and do a fair bit of streaming, need as much performance as I can get.
