      Slow broadband sync speed

      Hi all

I am looking for some help,
Ive been having problems with my broadband for some months now,
The speed was syncing at a stable just over 3mb,
Now its lucky to get over 1.5 and never over 2mb,
Ive had 2 openreach engineers to the house replacing faceplates etc...
Skys tier 2 have passed me onto the noc network operations centre,
No one seems to know what the problem is
      Ive had new routers etc...
Sky have tryed reconfiguring my line manually
Then say it wont remain stable and keeps dropping out
      (my original issue)
As i am using an ipad to write this im not sure wether the stats will show correctly
I am into the test socket at the moment and its no different than the normal socket
      Everything looks the same
Here are my stats from the test socket
Could anybody advise me on how these stats look ?

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 1966*kbps 767*kbps
      Line Attenuation 62.0*dB 37.7*dB
      Noise Margin 9.2*dB 10.0*dB

If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated
      Thanks
      Liam.

Just plugged back into the normal openreach vdsl faceplate they fitted and still got this

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 1962*kbps 767*kbps
      Line Attenuation 62.0*dB 37.7*dB
      Noise Margin 9.1*dB 7.1*dB

      Re: Slow broadband sync speed

      ADSL2+ Speed Test

We estimate your line is capable of between 2mb to 3mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service. This ADSL2 Line Speed Calculator is a best guess only, as to the broadband speed that maybe possible on your telephone line. The checker provides results of up to 24mb with the data that is made available to us. This is purely for indication only and should not be classed as the Line Speed that you would receive on any ADSL or LLU product from another ISP.

So it looks like you are more or less there at just less than 2 meg

As for stability no idea, maybe others can chip in?

I don't suppose you have an external NTE do you? They have been known to cause problems with water ingress

      Re: Slow broadband sync speed

slightly better reading in test socket for snr should be able to get a little more speed call up tech support to get line re-profiled or dlm rerun
with snr of 9db should be able to improve download abit aslo with better snr in test socket for upload would be more there on that as well and most likely more stable
