      Home plug powerline

      Hi

Haven't really got much knowledge on the above. But I am in need of it due to the wireless on my sky router not being able to stream hd content to my wd live box

I'm looking at 500 or even 1000 If poss

The router is upstairs so from the research I've done I know I won't get full sack speed due to different rings, is there anyway to improve this

      Re: Home plug powerline

I've used these people in the past and been very satisfied with the wide range they offer 500mbps+ Homeplug range

Streaming HD doesn't require massive bandwidth and the speeds quoted for the equipment relates to the speed at which the units talk to each other rather than the bandwidth they are streaming. They, like WiFi, have a significant overhead for encrypt/decrypt and will never be as fast as LAN cable.

Check out Wireless Router, ADSL Router/Modem, Broadband Router, VoIP, NAS | Broadbandbuyer.com or co.uk or .net I got 2 sets of 500mbps for a decent price a few months back
