This is an error rate of about 16% for CRC errors and 85% for errored seconds. This is way beyond an acceptable error rate. I don't know if this is due to the way the line has been configured or a faulty line or router. You could try the other router to see if it makes any difference. There is nothing to worry about using a non Sky router, thousands do it.

I am now using my old Netgear DG834G.

Any stats I can pull from this apart from the ones from the router login page?

Should I be seeing anything different?

If I want to return to the old router, do I simply just plug it back in?

Should I call Sky CS while this is plugged in? Or should I change back to the Sky one?

      Ok pings. (24/05/08)

The ones in the show statistics page would suffice for now.

I'm not sure there is any tool to pull advanced stats on the p2 netgear, but those stats do look a good bit better at least from the SNRs.

Personally, I'd keep this router connected and let DLM run its course over the next few days. Other than that, a quick call to Sky to manually profile would have it done there and then.

I think I'll let the profile run while it's on my OLD router. Once it has configured, could I switch back to the SKY router?

If not, I can always give them a call.

      Thanks.

      Re: Extremely high SNR! Help!

If you still have the DG834GT there is a chance it is starting to fail. 5 years plus from a router is quite good, although touch wood, mine is still performing perfectly, but as I swap routers around a lot, it has probably only been running half of the 6 years I have had it. If you do put it back on and the noise margin plummets, you will know what the problem is.
