      Random speed changes!

Hi, over 2 months my unlimited broadband speed has been changing all the time.
My original speed 2 months ago was about 11 mbps down 1 mbps up. Then it went down to 3mbps down and 0.4 mbps up.

      Now it is this:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8190 kbps 798 kbps
Line Attenuation 34.5 db 18.7 db
Noise Margin 9.0 db 17.0 db

I am at a loss why this is happening. Also am I getting the best speed I can get?

      Thanks.

DLM may be working on your line. Give Sky a call and ask them, if it is not, ask them to increase your speed.

To make sure your internal wiring is not causing a problem, plug into your Test socket, using only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky and take your stats from there. The speed may not change but you may see an increase in the noise margin which will indicate a problem.
