Attn Billion users 7800N unable to connect

Woke up this morning to no internet connection on my 7800N. It has been running the latest firmware for over a month using the MER settings without issue. On checking the router had an ADSL connection but was unable to negotiate an ip address to allow it on the Sky network. I have connected the Sky Sagecom and that is connected without issue, albeit at a lower sync speed.

Have any other Billion routers noticed any problems like this?

I'm fine but I use PPPoA not MER.

There are reports of MER not being available in some places.

      How is the Sagecom connecting?

I will have to check. Is it a recent thing that some people have not been able to connect via MER? As I mentioned it has been connected this way for at least the last month.

You were right. Checked the Sagecom and it was connecting with PPPOA so changed the connection settings on the Billion accordingly and its back in business.

Strange how its changed like that.
