Are you using wireless or ethernet?

Try starting in Safe Mode with Networking and repeat the tests

OK, its just that wireless can give very poor results at time. What was the result of the BT test?

      Re: Broadband speeds and buffering

I don't know why, but that is similar to the results those on Fibre with low speeda are getting. I think it shows a fault in Sky's network.

      Re: Broadband speeds and buffering

All you can do is keep on at Sky and try and convince them that although your connection speed is fine the actual throughput is very poor.

      Re: Broadband speeds and buffering

I have tried that and all they do is line tests and just say everything is fine, I have spoken to a manager and all they said was after doing the test and what they can see at there end is that is nothing is wrong and there not prepared to do anything.

      Re: Broadband speeds and buffering

Tell them if something is not done you will be leaving as you are not at all satisfied with the help you are receiving. Ask them to nominate 2 speed test sites so you can show them the result. I have seen this low throughput problem caused by a faulty card in the exchange. This is possibly your problem but until they send out a broadband engineer to check it, nothing can be done.
