      Slow speeds after home move

Since moving home on 2nd April my broadband speeds have been around 2.5 Mbps, compared to 18 Mbps at my previous address less than a mile away. When I moved Sky said I would get between 9.6 & 14.6 Mbps but I have never achieved anything close to this.
I have posted the stats below.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2048 kbps 608 kbps
      Line Attenuation 30.5db 21.5db
      Noise Margin 18.6db 20.0db

Check your stats in the Test socket, if they are no better, ie, the noise margin does not go up, call Sky and ask them to configure your line manually as DLM has left it too low.

Remember to check that all the phone sockets in use have a filter plugged in first, before anything else and do not use a long telephone extension to connect the router.

      You should get 12-14Mb.

Contacted Sky who have improved things a bit. Still not as good as my old house, but a good bit better than what I was getting.

You are still not getting as much as you should do, especially on your upload. I would call them again in the hope you get a more skilful agent.
