      Getting Packet Loss.

Not really a big gamer or anything so not sure if it matters but JD's speed tool runs every hour. It's just done a test with 4% packet loss.

Should I be bothered? Speed had to fight to get up to where it usually is too.

      Thanks

4% packet loss for gaming isn't by any means a lot. May i ask what game it is? Can you change the rates?

HI Sorry for the late reply.

It's not really for gaming. I only used Steam so most of that is cloud. it's in general.

I just did a test. 10% which I guess is not bad? It's dropping my speed for some reason. It struggles to get back up again.

      Re: Getting Packet Loss.

I would say there is a problem with your line or set up. My average packet loss is 0.87%, I have never seen it above 1%. I am a Samknows broadband checker, so get monthly reports.

The sam knows graph shows packet loss just for today only

It seems to have stopped now so I'll just monitor it.

If you are a tester with a Samknows router the connection is constantly monitored, with daily/weekly/monthly/annual graphs available for all aspects of the connection. If you have not opted for a monthly 'report card' you will have to log into your account to view these.
