      Packet Loss?

Been testing the MER Bilion 7800n was working ok until Thursday morning where it would no longer connect. So changed back to PPPOA and the billion reconnected.Anyway started getting low speeds so i connected my sky router back up and noticed that no longer connects with MER.
Line sync used to be 7005kbps with a line attenuation of 42.5 and SNR of 8.0dB and network type MERContacted sky this morning and they tweaked the line to what is shown below.Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up TimeWANLANWLAN

But still having problems with very slow speeds
Also setup monitoring with think broadband which shows that there is a problem with packet loss

      Re: Packet Loss?

Well contacted sky again today who went through there script again.

Managed to get past that and the "we will sent you a new router" bit.

Did some more tests on the line and they decided that there is nothing wrong with it so are going to send an engineer down to the exchange.

      Ping plot to bbc.co.uk

      Re: Packet Loss?

Looks like im going to have to go through the whole thing again then. My internet has now dropped from 0.5mb to 0.25mb and it has taken several minutes to get onto this page. I rang them again and they said there is nothing they can do until i get the new router.

      Re: Packet Loss?

Look at the packet loss between 4pm and 1am

Looks like a congested link somewhere.

Speed test showing my normal results at 6am.
