      What should I do now...

After much hassel trying to cancel my old ISP (Orange) I ordered Sky broadband on the 9th of September, router was recieved the next week and was given an activation date of the 27th of September. Great. Date arrives and no internet light on the router, I wait a few days to see if it appears but nothing happens. Give Sky a call and they say there is a backlog in my area and I will definatly be connected in the next week. Fine. A week passes and still no internet light, so I give them another call (with the customary 30 minute wait to get through) and they tell me I have been connected on the 2nd of October according to their records and they don't know why its not working, so I'm told to call the tech department (the woman didn't put me through, I had to hang up and call again, waiting another 40 minutes).

The guy in the tech department asks me to do a bunch of standard tests and checks and things, then asks me to try and plug the router into the test socket on my main phone socket and call back to tell them the results, so I had to hang up to do the check, still no light, (wait another 30 minutes to get through to Sky, realise I'm through the wrong department then wait another 30 minutes to get back to the tech team) I inform them its still not working and am told to unplug all router gear and any digital equipment from my phonelines and B.T. (or someone) would contact me within 48 hours and I'm being moved up to Tier 2.

48 hours pass and no call, anyone have any advice who I should call now or if theres anything I can do to speed this process up? I'm sure reading this forum others have had similar problems, I hoped someone could shed some light on my situation

First check on the BT order line what has exactly been ordered on your line and what has been completed
