      Struggling to stream!

      Hello, i was just wondering if anyone could shed a light onto my problem.

      I currently have the top Sky BB package and have done for some time now. Here are the connection stats from my router


      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 6554 kbps 796 kbps
      Line Attenuation 45.5 db 27.5 db
      Noise Margin 8.1 db 14.4 db

      Speed looks pretty decent for me and the connection is solid and stable but for some reason i have problems streaming. If i load a video on youtube it will only play a few seconds before needing to buffer again, really annoying. The same goes with pretty much anything else, iplayer, even when selecting a lower quality video stream.

      This is the same not just for one pc but also other devices connected. For example my iphone will do the same thing, even sometimes not get as far as loading the video up and gets an error. I will then disconnect from the network and just use 3G and try again and it loads and plays pretty much fine.

      Trying the same devices on a relatives BT broadband network with only around 4200kbps it loads everything up no problem at all. Web browsing is pretty decent, downloading things come in at around 200/300 kB/s

      Anyone any ideas?

      Are you on sky connect?
      If so thats why your connection is so bad.
