      ADSL nation faceplate

Got my adslnation filtered faceplate over the weekend and just wanted to share my delights.

Firstly installation was an absolute breeze, I also bought a disposably idc insertion tool form adsl nation as well. The whole operation took no more than two minutes to complete and when done the unit looks tidy and smarter than the bt face plate did before hand.

Now to the exciting part. Before installing my stats were:-

      speed 3300
      attenuation 52.0
      noise 8.6

After installing faceplate and running a rj11 cable direct to my router:-

      spped 7800
      attenuation 51.5
      noise 7.8

Lets just say that for less than 20 quid, I am a very happy man and would recommend it to anyone.

How were you connecting before? Just using a filter in the master socket?

Also some of your increase has been at the expense of stabilty, but even taking that into account, it looks like you have doubled your speed.

A nice piece of work for 20

yes previously I was plugging an extension cable into the master socket and then a filter into that now I have a 5m rj-11 in place of the extension cable. Yes ther eis a little less stability but as yet I have not done a restert during peak hours so that will hopefully drop the speed a little but make it much more stable.

Either way I am very happy.
