      Port forwarding, DNS,???? Whats wrong?

      Hi All,

I have searched, read loads on port forwarding, DNS, tried for days different things, but no joy at all!!!

I am trying to set up a camera so I can look at it on the internet.

It has an i.p of 192.168.0.15
      Its on port 5050

on my router I have set as

      DNS:
      Host name *******DNS.homedns.org
      User name *******
      Password *******

      Services

      Name: Camera
      Type: TCP
      Start Port: 5049
      Finish Port: 5051

      Firewall rules

      Service: Camera (TCP5049:5051)
      Action: ALLOW always
Send to LAN Server: 192.168.0.2 (My Laptop IP)
      WAN Users: Any

I can type in any web browsers outside of the network: *******DNS.homedns.org and I can see my sky router page etc.
If I type in *******DNS.homedns.org:5050 I get "oops!internet Explorer".... etc

It definitely works as it is now, it will be because of NAT that you cannot view it locally. (Its asking me for a username and a password)

(I can see your IP address)

Re: Port forwarding, DNS,???? Whats wrong?

      hi ya,

I can now see it locally by using in a web browser http://192.168.0.180 (Camera ip)

But when using *******DNS.homedns.org:5050 I get "oops!internet Explorer".... etc
      On

      Service: Camera (TCP5049:5051)
      Action: ALLOW always
Send to LAN Server: 192.168.0.2 (My Laptop IP) should this be my laptop ip as this changes?
      WAN Users: Any

Give your Laptop a static IP then it will never change.

PM the proper link and I will give it a go for you.

It's not working on your ip :5050 for me now.

I would have normally thought that you would need to run the rule for the camera IP but it definitely did work before when I tried.

Put it back to how it was on the first example, as it worked then?
