SVBN? I thought that would show on the router status page? It says PPPoA

Sorry don't get the 8/8 comment...

Will DLM radually reduce the connection speed until it decides it's happy or will it go back up again. Seemed great at the higher rate but I know sky will favour stability over max speed

8/8 is the max delays that it will be set 2.
That's what it will of been set too when you said you got them sorted.

night time it will of dropped slightly because of noise on the line, always does at night if it resyncs because of the lights causing electro magnetic interference, reboot it now & might go back up.

Re: Where did my extra 2mbps just come from?

      Reboot gone to 6022 Kbps
Ping has gone up a bit but relatively happy at this

Re. SVBN I have to show my ignorance. Would that be a good thing?

I did a route trace and 2nd hop shows cr0.emleabr.uk.easynet.net
I think that suggests its not SVBN if I read other posts correctly

The OP is running a speedtest from their iPad. It is connected via WiFi. The Ping will always show as a little worse than via a wired Ethernet connection.

How is the OP going to drop to a command prompt if they are using the iPad?

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Re: Where did my extra 2mbps just come from?

All I know I'm on iPad and it will be a bit worse hence my comment

Since I've had the thing I'm generally a bit lazy about having to switch my PC on, but I do have one. Lol

PC now used for more heavy weight stuff as a recording studio and for MS office and sometimes media server, but iPad hen browsing the net...

Although I've not done it yet I know the ping will be better from my pc
