Whose fault SKY or BT
I recommended SKY broadband to my sister after trying it for myself and everything going smoothly, I do get the nightly slow down which seems to be common, but a reboot solves that, and with it being early days for SKY willing to put up with it for the time being..
Anyway I digress
My sister signed up, was sent the router, recieved an activation date of the
On this day her AOL broadband stopped working but no SKY !!
the " i " symbol on the router was not lit..
phoned SKY and so far seems like she's been given one excuse after another...they said BT haven't activated the line, BT say it is..
SKY then say line tests needed ?? wait 48 hrs, 48 hrs go past still nothing, she rings SKY again they say no record of line tests wait another 48 hrs..
This is the shortened version, but if the " i " isn't lit , isn't that BT's side ??
oh and SKY keep having a go at her because she uses the 0800 number they don't like that

Thought so, anybody any suggestions on a quick fix if any...seems SKY haven't got a clue and keep fobbing her off, is there a direct number for BT ??
personally I think she's dropped unlucky with it being a weekend and nothing will be sorted till Monday

Has she checked the BT Checker to see what it says on that?
Order tracking: Landline orders You will need to register if you don't already have an account.
Unfortunately its quite possible for SkyBB to have no idea if BT haven't done the required work in the exchange and they tell SkyBB x,y and z but at least the checker will provide a clue.Ray
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
