WPA/WPA2-PSK (Mixed Mode) would be stronger, however on my DGND3700 if I select 300mb/p I cannot use that. I have to select WPA2-PSK (AES).

That is because TKIP is not fully supported by the N standard. The stronger is AES which is supported.

I also thought WPA2-PSK {AES} was stronger? why is mixed mode more secure?

Mixed mode is only needed if older devices can only use PSK and not AES.

      But AES is stronger.

      Re: N Router Security Settings

PSK (pre shared key) is used by both TKIP and AES. The alternate would be Enterprise, which the Sky routers do not support.

Edit. Sorry the Sky routers do support Enterprise in the form of WPA-802.1x.

TKIP i meant Isitme thanks for correcting me LOL

Mixed-mode is only needed or should be used if older devices can only use TKIP and not AES.

      AES is stronger.
