Broadband won't connect on secondary extension

Can anyone shed any light? We live in a new build with the master socket with built in filter is where we plug the sky router, another 3 secondary sockets are around the house built in as part of the build.

When I plug a phone into these sockets it works fine as soon as I plug in the router it doesn't get any connection checking the status page there is just nothing at all, plug it back into the master socket and it's fine, speed is good.

      Any ideas?

You have a filtered faceplate on the Master Socket. The ADSL signal is filtered at the first socket and leaving any extensions isolated from it. This provides for a signal that is not subjected to as much interference.

As a matter on good practise, it is actually better to use the Master Socket anyway. This ensures that you get the best possible connection speed.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

If you want to plug the router in on an extension then some rewiring would be required, you'd also need to check you have a 6 way ADSL faceplate.
