      I had a text from the Royal Mail to say it was out for delivery that day. It was a tracked package but it didn't need a signature.

      Cheers. Just checked a few minutes ago and says it's arrived at the National Distribution place, glad it's finally on it's way!

      Showed up this morning, so hopefully it'll all go smooth from now on. Sky have credited my account with a months free Broadband as well, bit of an inconvenience but at least it's here!

      Well, according to your dates you should be on by now?

      Yep, all on and working. Speed yesterday was about 4MBs, increased to 6MB over-night and having no problems

      Re: Soon to be with Sky Broadband

      Just another quick question, will my Ping time increase after DLM has finished? At the moment my Ping is quite high, often about 60ms. Also when tracing my IP location, it puts me around Leeds, just above when in fact in Somerset. BT put me close to my actual location.

      Re: Soon to be with Sky Broadband

      In an ideal world you should have a lower Ping figure, but much depends on where you are pinging.

      If the Ping value is important to you, then it is possible to get your line configured differently once the DLM process has completed.

      Thanks, i'll look into it when, as you say, DLM is finished.
      At the moment things are looking pretty good;

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 14138 kbps 1110 kbps
      Line Attenuation 27.0 dB 16.1 dB
      Noise Margin 8.0 dB 8.5 dB

      Re: Soon to be with Sky Broadband

      That is looking better. I would suggest that there is still room for improvement though.

      The upload is maxed out now, with spare noise margin on both the downstream and upstream connections. Often DLM will reduce the noise margin on both in order to increase the downstream.
