      Re: Help with connection speed

There is a little room for improvement on the downstream connection.

Your current noise margin is above Sky's target of 7dB.

You have got a good connection for your Line Attenuation. The tool on this site suggests that you should expect a speed of between 8mb to 9mb.

Give Sky a friendly call and see what they can do. Please be aware that not everyone has access to the correct systems to change the connection speed. This means that you may have to make two or three calls before you may get through to someone who can do the adjustments.

Please do post the figures once you have completed the update. Some have forgotten to adjust the upstream speed as well.

P.S. I've moved your post to a thread of your own. Some people get upset when their thread is hijacked.

      Re: Help with connection speed

Provided your noise margin is not dropping a lot at other times, there is room for improvement. Stick it out till DLM finishes and if it leaves you low, you can ask for a manual configuration.
