Some of the "Muppets" make positive contributions to this forum.

Sadly the first line of support does have to follow a script. There is no harm in say "yes" or "no" as required to quickly get through the script to the crunch piece. If they don't go through the script, and someone should listen to their call at some stage, then they get chastised.

It could very well be a network issue and not deliberate shaping. If Sky were to start shaping they'd have to change their whole advertising campaign!

I would have thought if it was throttled it would be much lower than 2Meg more like 0.5 Meg.

Like I said it seems OK here and I was getting over 7Meg so could it be a local area issue?

For some reason your browser is blocking you. Try using another browser.

If that does not work, check your hosts file.

I find Sky's support is pretty darn good. If you really want a laugh try using BT as an ISP.

(Sky do traffic shape though, it comes off around 08:30 AM weekdays, I haven't noticed when it goes back on).
