Question SKY Max - Up to 16Mb ?

      Hi all

My exchange was LLU'd only last month, however, it seems my SKY Max connection only syncs as far as 8 Mb. Some of you might have read my post today to say that the line was activated this afternoon.

According to the DSLZoneUK site, an ADSL2+ connection should reach at least 12Mb or so, given the attentuation and noise margin figures from the router.

So what's going on? Are Sky intending to roll out ADSL2+ for Max subscribers at a later date?

      Thanks.

I had the same prob when I got hooked up my connection speed was stuck at 7645 (6.5mb) and I spoke to sky and it looks like the distance from my exchange is longer that I expected.

DSLZoneUK gives you speed based on distance via a straight line (as crows fly) but your cable may be longer which is why you have a lower speed.

Also it cou.d be you setup at home, Are you connected to the master socket, any other devices (sky+) plugged in.

Read the FAQ and other posts m8 I could be wrong!

It is worth trying your test socket, if you have internal wiring issues can seriously lower your sync.

It will at least rule that out, if nothing else.
