With the SNR you have, though, it doesn't look like there is much more to be had - another meg or so. For the attenuation you should get a fair bit more so I reckon it might be line fault

I'll be happy if they can match what I received from BT. It wouldn't be the end of the world if there is a fault on the line if the resolution yielded an noticeable performance gain.

Got the day off tomorrow so will give Sky a call (or two) and see if we can get some improvements, well either that or a MAC code!

The line hasn't re-sync'd for a couple of days now and performance is still poor. Can't get a full game on XBL without a disconnect.

You have to remember that some routers chip inside are not as compatible as others which is another reason why you should used sky's router when DLM started. The chip in the sagem is most probably capable of higher speeds than they draytek. 7 meg was attainable you should have got around 6.4Mbps donwnstream.

Phone sky make sure sagems connected and get them to kindly re configure your line to a set profile, i also think you should ask for a g.dmt profile as your under 8 meg anyway.

Re: Sync speeds and ping during DLM

Good news. The issue is resolved.

Called Technical Support and advised of the issue, poor speed and ping. The agent had a look at the current sync speed and the attainable speed. He disappeared for short time and came back to tell me that they were unable to give me any increase. This was due to the way sync speeds are set manually and the increments in which they are increased didn't fit with the speeds my line could achieve.

Next stop the remove services from my account option. Again I explained the issue. The agent put me on hold for a short period before returning to advise that all is sorted. They have manually set a profile and upped the speed.

The result is below, which is a great improvement.

Worth also noting that all this was done with my router connected as opposed to the Sagem which is how it will stay.

Im surprised they made the change with your own router connected LOL
It's good that your happy with the connection though and ping times, if it was me though i would still try the sagem router to see if speeds are higher using sky's equipment.

      They never even mentioned it.

The router stats are a better indication of your connection speed.

As useful as speedtest results are, there is far more useful information in the stats than most people realise at first.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Agreed. As I said previously though the speed test does serve as a comparative.

Glad Sky sorted it. Apart from the first "Technical" Support agent they are easy to deal with an seem to know their stuff.
