      Re: Slow speed.

For some reason DLM has reduced your speed. This may be due to a fault in your set up. Plug into your Test socket and take the stats from there. Use only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky.

If the stats remain similar, call Sky and ask them to look at your connection. You should get around 18Mb, provided there are no serious problems with your line.

      Re: Slow speed.

There's a reason we ask for stats to be posted from the test socket

The speed might be the same, as it's capped, but check the SNR levels. If they go UP then you have more than just a capped line and could be an indication as to why it's gone down in the first place

      Re: Slow speed.

As I said earlier, DLM found something wrong with your connection. This could be anything from a faulty line to the router being switched on and off to often during the test period.

SNR refers to the noise margin, which the higher it is at this stage the better.

      Re: Slow speed.

Can they restart the test period cause router has been switched off when testing to see if speeds were different on different connections ,as they have been this low from day 1 I was expecting at least 6 to start with not something this slow.

      Re: Slow speed.

The test period (DLM) can be restarted, but if you call Sky and expain that you have made changes to your setup, they should be able to up the cap that DLM has made on your line.

      I hope that helps.
