      Restart initial line testing

Hi, Is there any way I can get sky to restart the line stabilisation testing they do when a new connection is initialised.

I had my broadband activated on the 26th of January but only managed to switch on and connect my router up today (4th Feb). I have obviously missed the majority of the first 10 days line stabilisation testing they supposedly do. My initial speed is 3.5Mbps where I was told by sky to expect between 5 to 11.4Mbps?

      Thanks

      Claire

      Re: Restart initial line testing

It isn't necessary to restart the DLM process. Whilst DLM will adjust the majority of connections without any issues, you can call Sky once it as completed and ask someone to manually configure things.

If you would like us to cast an eye over the stats, we can advise whether or not there is much room for improvement.

How to get your router statistics

If you aren't already doing so, it is always a good idea to use the Master Socket as ADSL2+ tends to lose speed on extensions.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
